How to save £49k

Hello,
I'm hoping someone could give any advice on saving £49k - not something I've ever had to think about before and I'm totally confused looking at all of the options. I'm not 100% sure what to do with the money so want it somewhere safe for a few years before deciding. I can't imagine I will be spending it anytime soon but will maybe want to withdraw a little here and there for home improvement but other then that just looking for good interest rates. I have had one isa opened this year so not sure if that is an option!?
Thank you
