What happens to CCJ after 6 yrs with debt still outstanding?

  • Do you have a copy of the judgment still?

    For an amount that large then they may have claimed for interest after judgment so the total owed my be larger than you think.

    As the others have said, a CCJ can’t be added to your credit file again once it has dropped off after 6 years.

    If you do make a full and final settlement proposal, make sure that they not only confirm their acceptance in writing but they confirm they will consider the CCJ satisfied and will remove the charge from your property.
