Which Pressure washer is best

Ive never had a pressure washer before but have decided to buy one. Didn't realise there was so much choice and unsure which to get so hoping for recommendations please.
I have recently moved house and have a lot of decking which although newish is really grotty looking. I also have a large area of garden which is 'crazy paved' so need to do that.
I also want to use it to do the conservatory outside and also the car but Ive been told that some of them are not suitable for every purpose.
Ive been looking at Karcher but are they the best or are you paying for the name?
I also need to know what else I would need to buy. I have an outside tap but will need to buy a hose and fittings. Are there certain one which compatible with all power washers or is it best to buy them all together?
Any recommendations please?

Nilfisk Alto.0

I bought one of the cheaper Karchers and the pump failed after one winter, replaced under guarantee and the new one also failed with the same problem. It would appear that the cheaper, £100, Karchers have a plastic pump and are not very reliable in very cold weather. I bought a Nilfisk for about the same price about 6 years ago and never had a problem, due I would imagine to being fitted with a metal pump.0

Depends on how much you want to spend and how long you want it to last for ?
I bought a B&Q own brand one a few years ago - cost about £25 .... worked brilliantly, but packed in after just over 12 months. For the price I paid it was great.
I've had a smaller Karcher in the past and wasn't that impressed - lasted longer than the B&Q one, but wasn't great for the cost.
Best I've had (and still have) is a Bosch Aquatak ..... had for about 3 years and still like new - works really well.
Any hose with standard fittings should be fine.0 -
my karcher has been going for years
make sure they are drained after use and especialy if you keep them where they will freeze.
Any standard hose kit will do, Karcher do a 3/4" one that sometime you can find on sale.

A patio cleaning attachment might be useful to keep the deck and crazy clean after the first deeper clean with the jets.
shame you have missed the recent Wilco sale thay had loads of decking oils going cheap as once the jet wash has done it's job it will need treating.0 -
Have a Nilfisk that I am very happy with.0

Also happy with my Nilfisk. It wasn't one of the super powerful ones but it's been sufficient for cleaning my car (with foam lance), cleaning patio and other odd jobs.0

Thank you all for the replies. I have ordered the Nilfisk.0

Good choice.
Karcher are good but seem less robust than Nilfisk. Makita and Bosch ones are also quite good.0
