Boiler Grants and Eon

Have applied for a grant via EON and have been told I'm eligible my boiler is broken and fits the criteria too. Have been waiting 10 weeks already but when I phone to get an update I'm fobbed off have been waiting for an update and installation date ect for over 4 weeks the staff are unhelpful , I have been given managers direct number but cannot get in contact and calls are not returned so no help

Are these grants still being processed and people still receiving them?

How long have people had to wait for the process?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

  • Do remember that the application is a grant, and no doubt this time of year they may receive multiple contacts. At this stage, it may be worth putting in a complaint to see if this can expedite things for you.

  • Thank you, I already have a complaint going but has done nothing , I've sent emails and citizens advice also trying to help but still I get no update. It's so frustrating if they can't help I would rather know than hanging on waiting.

    Good morning Pops214 and welcome to the forums.

    I'm sorry that you're having problems with this.

    As you've got an open complaint on the account, you'll have one person looking after this for you and they should be your point of contact.

    There're is a specific team that deal with the boiler installation and cavity wall, loft insulation etc and I expect your complaint is currently sitting with them.

    If you need some help getting in contact with them again, please ask.

    Unfortunatly the contact i have been given does not answer his phone and hasnt for the past 2 weeks and does not return my calls either, which is where the problem is.

    All i am after is some guarentee that the installalion is going to go ahead and a timescale for this.

    Or if it isnt likely to happen then i would rather be told than me hanging on waiting to know as i need to try and look into alter ways of trying to heat my home for my children

    If their is any way you could look into for me and provide some answers that would be fantastic as dont know how else to go about trying to find the answers out if the department isnt cooperating?
