Tripadvisor headaches!

Good evening all,

I am posting to seek some advice.

On 7th October I booked a holiday appartment via tripadvisor and paid a deposit of £500 online. The deposit went through fine and the booking was shown.

The remaining £1300 is due on 20th November.

On 13th October I loogged on to their website and paid the outstanding balance. I entered all my visa debit card details and clicked "pay". Then waited.. And waited, while watching the hourglass spinning.. Then, their site crashed and an error message was displayed.
I checked my bank and the payment left my account.
I checked tripadvisor and it still shows as owing.

I am now 2 weeks on, sending daily emails to tripadvisor. They keep responding "we are looking into it".
I have sent them screenshots of bank transactions to prove the money has left my account, as they requested, but nothing is happenning.
The booking is still showing as ballance owing, and i have had no confirmation of their reciept of funds.

Its a lot of money, £1300! That is now "in limbo" that TA cant find.

My bank have been great. They need TA to confirm that they have not recieved it to enable the bank to reverse the transaction.

I have requested TA do this numerous times but they are not playing ball! Its like banging your head against a brick wall!

So.. What can i do? Am i being unrealistic in the time frame i expected them to sort it out? Its been 2 weeks now.. If i dont email them then i dont hear anything.

Any advice?

Thanks in anticipation
Chris
