Timing of CC balance transfer

Hi.
I wanted to ask about the timing of CC balance transfers as never done a balance transfer before. My CC's 0% interest charges ends in May 2017 so in 6 months time. I receive regularly offers about 0% on balance transfers up to 24 or 32 months. Also, when I checked I got quite decent pre-approval deals through the MSE Credit Club. I know it's too early to transfer my balance but don't want to wait until last moment. Would be helpful to hear your experience. Also, how many days do you have from the acceptance date to transfer the balance?
Many thanks.

From receipt of the new card you usually have unto 90 days to make transfers, I would apply for the new card about a month before your existing deal ends, then check that the transfer has taken place don't just assume.0

Tesco let you do transfers up until the offer expires, so e.g. on a 30 month 0% tesco card they would let you do the zero rate transfers for the full 30 months but of course if you did one in month 29 it would only last for one month, so they still all expire at the same time.
Barclaycard is limited to a few months but they seem to constantly send new offers after the signup offer expires.0
