Hi, i recently discovered i had 3x CCJ on my credit file, i was unaware they where there. i contacted the court who said i had to pay them t set up a payment plan, i declined and asked for the companies direct information, i contacted all companies involved and have been making monthly payments to all of them. i plan to clear all of them by February. my question is once paid do i have to contact the courts again so they will give me a certificate of satisfaction so my credit file will be updated or is this something that the solicitors i am paying can issue. i have hunted online for some answers but can not find the info.
Many thanks in advance

I could be wrong but the notice of satisfaction will automatically be put on your credit file.
Remember your credit rating isnt seen by lenders just you. Maybe your confusing your credit report with rating. Lenders see your history.0 -
In what I have read on the credit site, it was it will only show as satisfied when I provide a certificate of satisfaction from the courts. That's what's confusing as I'm not paying through the courts. That's the only thing giving me a bad credit score and I really to to improve it as I want to buy a house in the next year0

Hi,
CCJ`s stay on your file 6 years from date of judgement, so your credit record will be trashed anyway, a satisfied CCJ looks slightly better than an unsatisfied one, but the damage has already been done.
If you've paid the CCJ in full, however, you can apply to have it shown as satisfied by showing the court your receipt. If you can't get this type of proof, the court will write to the person who won the CCJ and then arrange to amend the register accordingly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
