My daughter bought this in store recently and wants to return it, despite Liz Earle saying the contaminated batches were only sold online. To her that's not reassuring enough.
Is she within her rights to return it to Boots, despite it being partly used?

I react to most skincare products so you have my sympathy.I use unrefined coconut oil as a cleanser in exactly the same way as you would use the Liz Earle product.I've used it for two years now and would never use anything else. Its very cost effective as well.I also make my own toner in a 100ml spray bottle once a week- 1/2 capful of cider vinegar(our skin is mildly acidic) and 4 capfuls of rose water(£1 a bottle Sainsbury), fill rest of bottle with cooled boiled water. The cap I use to measure is the top of the rosewater glass bottle. It lasts a week if you like to tone your skin after the warm cloth.I do as I feel it's more complete. You can also adjust the quantities to suit your own skin & to winter/summer weather. I make my own facial scrub too.It started off because I reacted to so many chemicals and wanted to minimise how many I exposed my poor skin to but now it's is a really good money saver. Still working on moisturiser,it's a bit too much hassle so I just check ingredients. I worked in the beauty industry for years & used to be fooled by the hype of expensive beauty products but honestly you are better making as many as you can yourself.Hope this helps
