Good idea or not to put LED lights in ceiling of bathroom?

Options
Hi there,

Getting company to do a total refit in bathroom and one of the options is LED lighting in ceiling of bathroom, they also have shown us some sort of new ceiling sort of silver aluminium cover stuff (for want of the proper name) that they can also install for an extra cost.

We have a pull cord at the moment for the single light in bathroom.

1 We have LEDs upstairs in another bathroom and seem to like them ok, work off a flick switch, haven't had to change any of the bulbs yet, just wondering if they will work fine off the pull cord (only option probably) and if light is too bright is it easy enough to put in a weaker LED bulb?

2 Also that ceiling cover material that I don't know name of, if you can guess what I am on about, what is your opinion of it.

Many Thanks yet again.
:)

We have GU10 LED's in one of ours.
They work fine and it's unlikely I'll need to faff about replacing one of them any time soon.

Led tape can work if you have a high ceiling as you'll need to drop. It only gives perimeter lighting and doesn't no give enough light to cover the full room

Nothing half a dozen ansell image lights wouldn't sort .

Get the switch moved outside the bathroom and get a dimmable control

Thanks, as its a brick wall wouldn't that make it a bit difficult to do, bathroom is just off hallway, and pull cord is just inside bathroom door?

No, just run the cable down from the loft.
