    Morning Nellybee.

    With our fixed tariffs, the Price Protection window is open 49 calendar days before the tariff end date until 20 working days after. Provided we're told, we'll keep you on the cheaper prices whilst a change of supplier goes through. Exit fees also don't apply whilst in this window.

    As your tariff ends on 24 January 17, to avoid exit fees and higher prices, you can start a switch around 6 December 16. For the latest date, we need to be contacted by the new supplier before the window closes on 21 February 17. Although applications to switch come through fairly quickly, not all suppliers follow similar timescales so I'd recommend making allowances for this when applying. Also, as I mentioned above, this is assuming the new supplier has signed up for faster switching (takes about two and half weeks). Most have, I believe, but not sure about everyone.

    We'll write to you and let you know when your tariff is nearing the end.

    Morning Mable and sorry you've been having difficulties with your online account. There've been a number of technical issues of late. These started Friday and, although most were sorted fairly quickly, a couple have taken longer to put right. I've just been on the site and all's working. This includes the Direct Debit Manager.

    Just a quick heads up, if you're trying to change the monthly payments by more than 5 per cent, you'll need to pop in meter readings first. Up to 5 per cent, a change will go through without readings.

    It may have been a temporary issue earlier on. We sometimes put updates/adjustments through in the early hours when website traffic is at its lightest.

    Just tried and meter reading area fine. However still the same message with the direct debit area.

    Just found out we did do some website maintenance overnight so this would explain why you were unable to use it earlier. Came back on stream around 8am.

    Sorry Mable. Missed your reply.

    Are you still having a problem using our online Direct Debit Manager? If you are and would like me to take a look, please drop an email to the address in my Profile with your details and up to date meter readings. Happy to help.

    Couple of things to be aware of. You mention an impending annual review. Accounts are locked down when there are two payments or less left until the review. This is to stop too many changes immediately before the review as we've found this can cause knock on effects that can skew payments up until this annual point.

    Also, only three changes can be made each quarter. More than this will be blocked.
