Balance Transfer - Close Old Account?

Dear All,
I have just been accepted for a Halifax balance transfer credit card with 0% interest for over 3 years.
I have a small balance on an Aqua card that I want to transfer over - by doing this does anyone know if closes the Aqua card down?
