Worktop and splashback all in one ,what colour scheme do you think?

Hi just fitted a new kitchen and am looking at worktops ,I have seen that you can continue the worktop up as a splashback instead of tiles.

I would like to know if this is easier to clean then tiles and would like to know your views on the colour scheme;
cupboards traditional style in cream
black cooker

We have french doors that lead to the conservatory that has cream walls and light green floor

We are in 2 minds wether to keep the floor colour the same in the kitchen to bring it together or go different colour and going dark i.e black worktop and floor or would a green floor go ok with black and cream?

Sorry for the long post I am not good at interiors and would like to get it right
