Waiting for middle dd to arrive for lunch. I have home made stew and mash but have just wolfed mine as I was starving.

We might be going on a shopping trip as she needs to pack for a business trip to London and then to Miami back to back so a bit of list making and discussion of smart clothes for a very hot climate.

Will have to make sure I am upbeat as she wants to discuss the cataracts that were just found in an eye exam and I don't want to worry her.

Still trying to sort out the mystery online transactions with the bank but just glad I recognised something odd within 48 hours. One of them was seemingly done at 4 in the morning which is completely not the case.

You need to put your health first and there is nothing wrong in helping provide work for others. When I was trying to sell the previous house I needed a gardener each week and a cleaning firm just to keep things up to the mark. Once I have settled in more and if I need it then I would consider getting some help again.

    Hugs to all

Hello peeps, I hope you don't mind if I share this as it left hubs and I a little dumbfounded and we wonder if perhaps nobody use saucers any more?
We bought some little cups and saucers today for DS because he has a coffee machine and the mugs are too tall to stand under the spout.
In the shop the young lady (maybe 18)scanned the cups and then walked off to find something out, a few minutes passed and then she returned and announced to her colleague that the 'black things' (the saucers) were 'part of it and came with the cups'.

We need to have a quick clean through and take Evie out ( or will see how she goes, she seems fine in the day time)
Why not try keeping to the daytime for walkies off your premises, and very gradually introduce twilight "walkies" in the garden to start with? Auntie Wolfy sends her a cuddle. x

My latest @mazon parcel has just arrived - two of these:

They look ideal LW - we have the ones with straps over the tops of heads and I find them very difficult to fit properly. I saw some similar to yours on Autumnwatch the other night and thought then that they looked better than ours.

My day has been good so far. Luckily I got up AND dressed in good time as my neighbour called round for a warming drink and chat. He was with another person and they been out stalking but the mist came down so it was impossible to see very much. The other chap was really lovely, after talking about my tarnished silver plated flatware he recommended using Duraglit on them rather than a silver specific product. As he owns a plating business I will trust his knowledge and get some tomorrow.

I've vacuumed everywhere, upstairs and down, and done a small fast wash load which is on the airers being dehumidified. I've brought in a bagful of wood to fill up the log bucket and scrunched up newspaper ready for the stove. I've also got the front door wide open as the day is really mild and almost windless. The birds are still twittering away outside, the sheep are baa-ing and the tide is just reaching its high point.

Another NSD though it might just be spoiled by ordering a new head torch! :o

    Happy days:beer:
