Flyglobesapn Baggage Allowance Question
fairlysure
Hi everyone. I'm hoping someone can help. I am flying to Toronto with globespan next month. There baggage allowance is a pretty paltry 20 kgs but I can purchase an extra 10kgs for £15 per sector, so far so good. However I only want the extra allowance on my return journey (planning on doing some shopping . . . ) but when I try to book this it will only let me pay in Canadian Dollars as it treats this as a one trip from Canada to the UK. Obviously if I do this I wil incur charges from my bank due to the currency difference. Has anybody else had this problem or have a solution?? Cheers

Nothing paltry about 20kg ...
Your options are to pay for both legs in GBP, or one leg in Canadian Dollars. This is standard for any of the low cost airlines, indeed some would make you pay for both legs.
Alternatively, you could try calling them?!!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Additional baggage allowance can be purchased in advance at the rate of £15 for 10 kilos per flight sector
which implies that you can

Now a related question - they offer a combined luggage weight allowance but has anyone had problems taking most of that as hand luggage?0 -

At the most your bank will charge you around £2 to do it if its only £15,s worth of extra baggage.
or if its more weight, maybe £1.50 + (up to) 3% of transaction value, so I certainly wouldnt be having sleepless nights over it.0 -

Theres a statement further down the t&cs you quoted earlier
I think if bag is within the CAA guidlines you should be ok.
Rule of thumb reasonable weight would be 5 to 10 KG IMOUnchecked Baggage

The transport of such objects will be charged for separately.0
