I recently visited San Francisco (last 3 weeks) and I took a taxi back to the airport. I paid by credit card. When I got home I discovered that the taxi firm had added a 0 so charged me around £600 for a taxi journey that should have cost around £60!
I can't seem to find anything to contact the taxi firm other than the name IKE TAXI SERVICES. Does anyone know what I should do? Would my credit card company help me?

If it's a licensed cab you should be able to contact the Licensing Authority in San Francisco who issues the owners Tags or medallion as they refer to it for more information. From what I was told by a taxi driver they have very strict rules that they have to adhere to as to be issued with a medallion there is a lot of money involved - around $250K plus a lot of very high associated costs hence the high cost of taxis in San Francisco. We were in SF in September and were lucky to be offered a Luxury SUV by the Hotel for our trip back to the Airport, the quoted price was $50 but we were so impressed with the driver who was suited and booted and a really nice guy that we gave him $65 so a result.0

Yes, approach your CC company in the first instance.0 -
As above, don't bother trying to track down the taxi, just raise a dispute with your credit card companyChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0
