There are no poor people

There are only people who live beyond their means.

No one is poor in the U.K.

If you spend more than your income every month you will be poor and in debt. I think Mr Micawber said that!

Why do people spend more than they earn? Because credit is cheap? Actually credit is really expensive because it builds up exponentially if you don't pay it off, as Isaac newton said the eight wonder of the world - compound interest.

Why do people spend more than they earn? Peer pressure, your mate has a designer handbag, so you must have one. Your friend is moving to a four bed detached, so you must.

It's all just ridiculous.

Just get a grip and ignore these pressures and get on with your life.

Cheers fj

You're either trolling, are a total ignoramus or have lived an incredibly sheltered life.
I'm not sure if you are just one of the above or all three.

    I think that's very harsh.

There are poor people out there. Mathematically, the only way (*) someone is poor is if they don't live within their means.

    * - there are caveats, eg. when you get robbed.

Defiantly the sheltered life part, he started a thread earlier this evening boasting of his million quid because he has a fear of spending more than 30 quid.
I'm thinking this maybe a troll that has escaped the cave

You need to define poor, it's very easy for someone to live within their means and have almost nothing.

Watch A Swansea Love Story when the young girl describes being forced into prostitute when she was 12. By her Mum. Then come back and tell us that bit again.

Maybe there should be a limit on thread starting after 6pm!

    http://www.homeless.org.uk/facts/homelessness-in-numbers/rough-sleeping/rough-sleeping-explore-data

It's hard to be sure of numbers but it's estimated that there were 3569 rough sleepers in 2015 in england alone.

If only they all bought less fancy handbags or 4 bedroom houses!

The internet is fantastic for finding information and expanding our knowledge. it's a shame some really ignorant people use it simply to share their thoughts on things they know nothing about.
