Hi All,
I got an AMEX rewards gold card sometime back but after a year i had to change it to a AMEX credit card as I didn't want to pay the £150 fee.
Anyway I have accumulated 54,085 points. Whats the best way to take advantage of avios points from this?
I did read somewhere that I could take out a rewards gold card again without paying a fee and get further points.
Thanks

What do you mean best way to take advantage? You can transfer them all to BA Executive Club, you'll get 54,000 Avios (minimum transfer 1,000, then blocks of 500). Amex used to offer regular bonuses, but these haven't happened for a couple of years in the UK now.
You can take out the Preferred Rewards Gold card again, but won't get the bonus if you've had any Amex card with Membership Rewards points open within the previous six months. You could take out the BA Amex card, you would get the signup bonus for that (assuming you don't already have it, or have closed it within six months).0 -
i think the best way to utilize the points will be to transfer them to nectar card and then use them during nectar double up event coming this november0
