I've got an appeal being managed with these people that was raised 27th Sept. I've had no communication from them since that date, and they have not replied to multiple emails to their email address, no answer of the phone (just a 'lines are busy' message), Facebook page has been removed. Previously when I've used them they have been pretty good with communication, but nothing at all this time.

Does anyone know, have they gone bust or something, but are still taking orders and payment via their website? Has anyone managed to communicate with them in the last month?

    No-one was 'got rid of'.

To be held to be a 'Company Secretary' a person would have to have consented to act in that role. And any such 'consent to act' would have had to have been recorded at Companies House. There is no such record from that time in 2015.

All resignations and/or appointments in a Limited Company are a matter of public record.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I took that post to mean the lack of response started after the Company Secretary left which is why I thanked it.
  • Hi
I've had exactly the same experience - nothing at all since PPA took my payment on 12th October. Numerous emails/phone calls to them but nothing. Shame as I used them once before (2 years ago?) and was really pleased with the result.
Now I find myself with a DRP letter for £160. I know from reading up on here that I can ignore that - meanwhile I've now put in an appeal to SmartParking, hopefully not too late as they seemed to accept the appeal online? Hopefully will now get POPLA code and can handle myself with advice on here.

Just want to warn anyone else DO NOT TRY TO USE PrivateParkingAppeals. Still being advertised on Parking Cowboys!!
Does anyone know best way to get refund of my £19? ?

If you're at debt collector stage the chances of you getting a POPLA code is somewhere between zero and zero!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Think PayPal binned them.

Probably need a stern letter, requesting a refund, and consider a MCOL if they don't play ball
  • Think I read on a thread somewhere (!) here (can't find with search) that it's only the PPC's own 'rule' re 28days..and that although they say BPA says 'must' appeal within 28days, this isn't true and can (should?) be challenged..They have now refused the appeal as too late (so much for Private Parking Appeals who did nothing though I bought their 'sevices' right at the beginning)

Should I write to SmartParking and keep asking for Popla code? Seem to remember the thread advised doing that as wouldn't look good for PPC (SmartParking) if it ever comes to court?

Many thanks, sorry if I'm missing an existing thread.
  • why use the services of a company whose motives will ultimately be driven by profit ? There is a wealth of free advice on here and Pepipoo once you dissect out the chaff
