Blackpool to Norwich Cheapest Method

My daughters international student friend is staying with us until tomorrow as she starts her course at the University of East Anglia very soon. She has looked at the train and bus fares from Blackpool to Norwich and they START at approximately £60 one way. Can anyone advise how she can reduce this amount as I think this is quite expensive given that she is a overseas student.Has anyone seen any offers etc that we could use?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you split Blackpool - Manchester and Manchester - Norwich the single fares come down to £11.60 + £30 - so some saving.
