So? When and how do we get to see pictures of the kitchen?

Although I sort of don't want to see and get kitchen envy.

    I covet my neighbour's everything.

I'll bet your are much more motivated to be organised in the kitchen now, not that you weren't before! Did you plan a lot of storage? That will be #1 on my list if I'm ever able to plan a new kitchen!

Hell yes - more storage was pretty much the key to it all - there's a pull-out unit that means we can now store things under the sink where previously it was wasted space back into the corner. More cupboard space, and also a "bridging unit" over the fridge that has taken lots of baking equipment etc. :D
Just thought I'd mention that I was on Benbecular again last week and we had 3 (yes 3) gorgeous days of sunshine :T

Ahh when it's good, it's good! We're back up for Christmas again - bet we don't get three days of sunshine then! :rotfl:

Covet away...pics are HERE :D (Hopefully the link will work and I won't get my knuckles rapped for posting it!) Eventually I'll add all the "work in progress" shots to that too - in fact I'll start today so they may be there by the time you look!

Enjoyed it aside from the weather! Friday night was ridiculously windy and has seriously affected the photos which is a shame. Saturday was just unpleasantly wet - we spent half the afternoon sheltering from it but thankfully the skies finally cleared and sun came out just in time for the Reds display which always helps!

Haha Starnac - yes, I've been through more fun experiences! :rotfl::rotfl: It is fabulous now it's done though - and I guess the time it took at least means the spending was spread over a few months rather than a great lump coming out of the savings all in one go! It's funny looking back at the old kitchen now - the thing that we keep saying is how much bigger it looks and you can really see it in those pics!

£10 claimed from Prolific - hoping I might manage to get that in and paid to the card before the end of the month! :T

I think I've decided what my next camera gear purchase is going to be. Money is saved and there for it but I want to hold off until the Autumn to see if prices drop - they often do. With that in mind though I want to hit that card a bit harder in the next little while as I'll be clearing that down before I repeat the whole experiment buying more. :D

Thanks ladies - yes Hidden it is! We're spending an astonishing amount of time just standing in there chatting at the moment and finding new "favourite things!" :rotfl:

Might need a list of things for tomorrow/the weekend - but that will probably now have to include taking the car to the garage as I discovered a leak this morning when I got her out of the garage. Not sure what - doesn't exactly look like oil but I did only have a chance for quite a quick look. Honestly - like we've not had enough expense!

    - MrEH's car insurance renewal came through - cheaper than I expected but when I looked the crafty devils have increased his excess so he needs to run through the quotes again with the lower excess back in place.
    - I plan to do the confused/moneysupermarket & comparethemarket thing later and see how mine looks - AXA have come back with a £60 increase over last year so they're getting binned.
    - Also need to run the home insurance through the comparison sites but not seen a renewal figure on that one yet
    - Breakdown cover too - again not seen a renewal quote yet.

Shopping at Morrisons with Mum tomorrow so need to meal plan/shopping list prep this evening ideally - we were talking about going to eat at the new Rugby Club on Sunday but not decided on that one yet.

Must get to the outlet shopping place so I can get work trousers and jeans - I'm going to really struggle during the beer festival I've realised as all my grotty jeans I'd usually wear are miles too big. :o Will look to see what else I might be able to get that will work for that.
