  • Hi Angel! I'm using the PAD method. As it's a conscious choice to have balance transferred to the 0% card rather than just paying for the items upfront, I've transferred the money that was set aside to pay for the items into a totally separate account - that's sitting there currently untouched. The initial minimum payment the card needed was £26.00 - I've set my DD to £28 so that will go to it regardless - during the summer when life is busier I may have to subsidise that payment from the savings but we'll see how it goes. My plan is to pay as much off it from the survey & TCB earnings as I can though so it makes sense to just pay those off as they turn up. the game is to see how much of the amount in savings is still there when the card is cleared. :D

  • £6 payout requested from PC (Got another survey through this morning and it paid out really fast!)
    Now at £39.60 on OnePoll
Paid £5.50 that I'd been paid in interest on an old savings account againt the card last night.

Still waiting for the TCB money - that usually takes a few days though.

And forgot that we were meant to be eating that pack of gnocchi last night - we had spaghetti instead. Yes I remembered the gnocchi about 20 seconds after the spag hit the boiling water. :o

Excellent you are several steps closer than when we last spoke that 40 quid will be with you before you know it.

  • As I only have one key to begin with, I won't be able to use the same key kit as you. I hope it works!!

I checked the store for gnocchi - unfortunately T's is a bit far away but I will need to make the effort to go because the pack at Sainbugs was £1.50 and I would have needed two to feed us. I wonder if Als or Lils do anything similar, it's not something I've ever looked for while in the store.

And up to £39.85 this morning....either I'm going to get there today or it's going to be another week for that last 15p! :rotfl:

Pretty sure Al's and Lil's both do gnocchi for the same price or thereabouts Misty. In fact I'm reasonably sure I've had Al's variant in the past and it was fine.

Have a google for independant locksmiths/ automotive locksmiths in your area - and also for whether it's possible to "code" the key yourself - it may well be. It's the coding that's the issue, but I did spot a step-by-step tutorial on how to do the C3 key when I was looking for the other stuff so they are certainly out there for some cars. You can buy key blanks online too with all the bits inside ready - just need to get it cut to your car's pattern, so if you can sort the coding side without having to pay main dealer prices you may be able to solve the problem at a fraction of their quoted price.

No sign of the TCB money landing yet - I want it to hurry up so I can get another payment done against the card! :rotfl:

  • Thank you - I've already been told by one independent locksmith that they can't do it, but I will look around for others. Someone must have found a way around the dealership monopoly by now!

    OnePoll cashed out! :beer::j:T:D

    *edit*

And £6 paid off card from PC earnings which landed in PayPal today.

Have also hit another £5 from Opinion Outpost but I'm leaving that sitting until all the other stuff has been paid out and against the card or I'll lose track!

£28.25 from TCB had landed in my account this morning and has now been paid off the card - £105.35 now paid off = £1123.65 balance, and only a little way off hitting the first 10% paid off now. :T That's also over 25% of the cost of the phone now paid. :D

Essex, sounds like you are making excellent progress.

  • EH - I was thinking of you this morning. I was wandering up the food aisle in h0me bargins and noticed that the EE brown basmati rice was in a *new* location on the shelves. It made no sense whatsoever, it was with the pesto and italian ingredients - but was clearly meant to be there, as there were about 8 packets and theSEL was in place. Mindful of what you had mentioned, I picked up a couple of packets. Summer is-a-coming, and I intend to get better at my 'salads' repertoire and if all else fails, it is bbe January 2019 :D
