Yes, I know exactly what you mean...have you tried mixing a colour yourself out of craft paints then getting it mixed?

Ours are slightly more descriptively named "sage" and "fern"! :rotfl:Yes, I know exactly what you mean...have you tried mixing a colour yourself out of craft paints then getting it mixed?

Morning all! And WHAT a bright cheery cold but sunny morning it is, too! Managed to squeeze in a quick mile walk before coming into work which felt like a decent start to the day. Hoping to be able to do the same thing at lunchtime and then again before picking MrEH up this evening.
Meal plan is sorted for the week:
- Sausage & mushroom gnocchi
- Veggie stir fry (heavy on mange tout and baby corn thanks to Al's S6)
- Chicken with stuffing, baked sweet potato and veggies
- Chick Pea curry. Might involve another sweet potato. Will definitely involve 'shrooms.
- Friday is open to debate - if I go to Scampton for the day it'll be some form of takeaway. If not I'll probably cook.
We were disappointed by Al's Free Range chicken - to be honest we both expressed doubts about just how "free range" it really was, as it tasted as we remember non-FR birds tasting - quite bland and uninteresting. We'll be returning to ThaT supermarkeT next time we want one I think. Also also managed to forget to cook the stuffing - MrEH came out to the kitchen to do the gravy and said "should that (pointing) have gone in the oven?" Yes. Yes it should. And Yes, this is why stuffing makes an appearance on the plan above. Sigh. I'll freeze the rest - sure it will be fine. I'll probably shred the rest of the chicken meat and freeze for use in risottos I think as that way I can add loads of flavour with chicken stock and herbs and it might be better.
Flapjack got made yesterday so MrEH is stocked up on breakfasts for the next couple of weeks. I tweaked the recipe to include honey rather than golden syrup both because we'd not got any syrup, and because the honey seemed a marginally healthier choice. LOADED with fruit and seeds though - ought to keep him "full up 'til lunch" but I have my doubts! :rotfl:
Managed lots of shredding yesterday - mostly MrEH I confess - and also lots of decluttering - TWO black sacks of assorted rubbish, plus a load of bits for the chazza shop. Those will need to go to the one that takes electricals as an old scanner is among that stuff - I need to add a trip to drop them off to my list for the weekend I think.
Must also add getting MrEH a new car key to my weekly list - his one has fallen apart so we're entirely reliant on mine, now. Allegedly it's an easy job to switch the chip and the key blade into the new housing - fingers crossed!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Are you making the gnocchi yourself? That's something I've fancied doing but not got around to yet. Shame about the chicken, but it was worth a try.
Are you fixing the car key yourself? I only have one key and the man in the shop said it would be nearly £175 to get another one and I could only get it from the dealer. It feels like a scam to me, it was the same with our last car so we made do with just the one key. I think it would be a good idea to have another though but it won't happen if it's really going to be £175... :mad:0 -

Question 1 - err, no. Last time I attempted to make gnocchi we ended up with something inedible strongly resembling wallpaper paste, only rather less appetising looking. T's do the job perfectly for me for (last time I looked) 70p a packet. That'll do me! :rotfl:
Question 2 - Google suggests that I can buy a blank key from the Bay of E or somewhere similar, and then switch the key blade and the chip from MrEH's cream-crackered key into the new blank. If it IS that simple all will be well. If not, then it won't. Adding "Mistress of car key repair" to my "mistress of immersion heater fixing" title of a few weeks back however will elevate me into some level of goddess-status with MrEH however*, so I'm happy to give it a go. Sadly this route only works if you already have the second key of course. have you checked online to see if you can buy the blank key and then find a local company who can cut & programme them? Main dealers are notoriously pricey for such things.
* yeah right, of COURSE it flipping won't! :rotfl:🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

£6 payout requested from PC (Got another survey through this morning and it paid out really fast!)
Now at £39.60 on OnePoll
Paid £5.50 that I'd been paid in interest on an old savings account againt the card last night.
Still waiting for the TCB money - that usually takes a few days though.
And forgot that we were meant to be eating that pack of gnocchi last night - we had spaghetti instead. Yes I remembered the gnocchi about 20 seconds after the spag hit the boiling water.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Popped in on a return visit. Flapjacks sound yummy so may add that to my list at some point...not sure if DD has ever had them.
Do you do lots of little payments to your card or tot it up and pay off all together? I a fascinated how everyone does it differentlyHappiness is wanting what you have...0
