Well done on going to the gym, and the NSD - but most importantly on clearing out your display cabinet. I hope you enjoy admiring it3

Milann the food show is usually a really good day out! Scottiedog - we’d prefer North Uist but are open indeed to possibilities on either South Uist or Benbecula too, all islands we know well and all have their pluses and minuses. Thanks Beanie - I’ve had mixed results on aiming for NSD targets before so was pleased to hit this one! We went to the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham a few years ago. Can you believe I contracted an infection just before we went that resulted in me being on such high dose antibiotics I was banned from drinking alcohol. I was gutted to have to bypass all the free samples 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Oh SA that was such bad timing - not surprised you were gutted! We’re sort of assuming that there will be less samples this year because of the Covid situation, which might mean we actually have to buy ourselves some lunch, usually there’s so much to graze on the most we need additionally is a snack! 😂
SH we’re kind of on the tail end of our real decluttering now, it’s just oddments that appear every now and again and bits that we’d previously identified as probably going to go, but we’d not made a decision on it. Ironically enough we started 2020 with a HUGE declutter, and got rid of absolutely masses of stuff, thankfully ahead of everything shutting down. We were so glad we had too as it made the place far more pleasant when it came to spending lots of time indoors!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Sounds like that was a really timely declutter. I have masses to do.., although given that the loft is now empty - there's less than I would have expected but then Ex and DS moved out this year taking some stuff with them... Still loads left though.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well we’ve already heard from the friend we’re meant to be meeting for beers tonight that his travel is looking dubious - they still have a severe weather warning in place too so we’ve said that even if the trains start running again we don’t think he should travel - it’s a shame as we’ve not seen him in absolutely ages, but can’t be helped in the circumstances, no sense him risking getting stranded.
We’ll probably change plans off the back of that - possibly stopping for a walk somewhere on our way up to the Midlands, and we’ll visit some different pubs this evening too, although still avoiding the crowded central area.I’ve just booked our final night accommodation for the way home after New Year too - decent sounding place in Fort William nice and close to Wetherspoon so we’re sorted for breakfast! £48.60 with several b00king dot com discounts stacked. That will do nicely. Also cancellable until close to the time too in case Nicola gets her knickers in a knot about the “unclean English” taking Covid past the border…mind you with the way things have been the last little while she’s probably lucky Boris didn’t do the same in reverse! 😂😂🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
