HI, so I had to deal with a really tough sales guy from escalations last year after Sky were incorrectly billing me. Now my bill for just original package and sky go (not even multi room or movies / sports etc) has shot up to £43! It's a lot of money. I read on a thread here that someone paid £10 and even £5 a month for sky originals package. Can any one help please?
And am I best to cancel and then wait for 60 per cent offer to come via email (phone offers don't come through for some reason to my mobile). ?? Any help really appreciated. Thanks. We only realistically want Disney/ Kids channels and some international channels too,

You aren't being charged for Original pack and Sky Go.
To get to £43 pm would have to be Family pack (£38) plus Sky Go Extra (£5) I think!Log in to your MySky webpage.0 -

Yes, they couldn't have the children's channels on Original and Go is free.
The website states £20 for Original, but when they quote existing customers they use £22.50 (told me 60% off would mean £9), which was the price it was supposed to go up to last June (but mine stayed at half of £20).0 -
Brewerdave is correct on this. If you just want the kids channels you've got now and have no use for HD channels or Box Sets, I would recommend downgrading to the Variety package. Likewise, think in terms of the SGE you have. How many devices in the household are used for streaming? Do you download on any of them in case you go to an area with no wifi or mobile signal, or do any of the kids (or adults) in the house watch Sky channels on a games console?
If you're using only up to two devices and answer 'no' and 'no' for the last two questions, you can just downgrade the SGE off the account and go to the basic (and free) Sky Go that every customer for Sky TV has access to.Please Note - Everything I post is my own personal opinion as someone interested in helping people know what they're getting for their money in an accurate and reliable fashion. It's not intended to reflect back on Sky in any professional context, nor am I acting on behalf of or for Sky when I post here.0 -

Call Sky to cancel. Make sure you give them the correct telephone number and email address and if they ask to contact you about products and services then say yes to this (it's how you get offers - it's surprising how many people opt out of this and then complain they never get offered things!!!).
You'll get offered deals to stay which you might be happy with or you can give your notice and see what else they offer.
Worst case scenario is you rejoin at full price but without a 12 month minimum term, at least. You can then restart the process again.0 -
