Parking charge notices in N.Ireland

Can anybody give any advice on parking charge notices in Northern Ireland. As we are not covered by the independent appeal via POPLA. I have appealed to the company (twice) but the appeal has not been upheld and it is ridculous as I was prevented from leaving the car park due to the road outside being blocked and traffic at a standstill for over half an hour. They are saying that I should have paid for the extra time that I spent in the car park, waiting to exit. I had already paid in excess of £8 for three hours parking. Should I now pay or take a chance on court?

Neither, nobody has ever been taken to court by a parking company in N. Ireland and there are no signs of that changing. Only mugs pay up.
You should never have appealed at all, 100% of appeals are declined, all you did was flag yourself up as somebody who takes these jokers seriously.
The advice in NI hasn't changed, ignore, ignore, ignore. Simples. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Edmund Burke Irish orator, philosopher, & politician (1729 - 1797).0 -
Carry on ignoring them.
If - by some utter miracle! - they're stupid enough to take you to court, then they'll need a big room as the number of people showing up to watch will be in the hundreds!
The act of parking has been well-defined in a few cases, and includes the act of leaving your car stationary, turned off, and unattended. You sat in it, behind the wheel, with the engine running, DOES NOT QUALIFY AS BEING PARKED.0 -
Just tell us who was the PPC ?

You sat in it, behind the wheel, with the engine running, ONLY QUALIFIES AS BEING PARKED IN PPC SCAMLAND.
Slight correction:D0
