Yorkshire BS ex-Egg Account

Notification received yesterday that my ex-Egg account will be folded into the Yorkshire Building Society Web Saver brand on 09 January 2017.
According to the factsheet cheque deposits will no longer be allowed. I assume the old Egg prepaid paying-in envelopes will no longer be able to be used after that date which is a shame.

Have they said anything about Direct Debits?0

From what I could work out, looks like nothing will change there (I may need to use that facility myself for current account requirements in the future).0

The fact sheet for the Web Saver states "We do not accept Postal Orders or cheques. Additional deposits (minimum £1) must be transfers, either from another bank or building society account, e.g. by standing order, Direct Debit or another account held with the Yorkshire Building Society." (my bold/underline)
I really hope that the DDs will be transferred across as I have quite a few current accounts utilising the Egg savers.

All functionality will remain the same. Consider it a name change.0 -

I was going to open a Web Saver to test it out but I can't actually find an account called Web Saver on the YBS website. This leads me to believe that they are simply making a name change, from "Egg Savings (52)" to "Web Saver" - and they might just open the Web Saver to new applicants. After all, it's been such a popular account, with people making deposits like clockwork0
