New radiator suddenly cold

I replaced a radiator about a week ago and it was working fine, fitted by a plumber also as he stuck on a TRV etc.
I went into the room last night and the radiator was ice cold, all others in the house were hot.
The flow pipes were both cold also, and the radiator didn't need bled, I tried that.
Any ideas?

What was the TRV set to?0

Have you closed the TRV fully and then opened it fully a few times to check that? It may need exercising. If that doesn't help you could take the top off and check the state of the pin. It might be stuck.0

It was set to full or else 4/5 heat. Its strange. I did turn the gauge back and forth a bit.
Is it easy enough to take the top off ?0 -
Is the valve on the other end of the radiator closed? Yes it is easy to take the top off, there is usually a locking ring that unscrews and is normally only hand tight. Follow this link to see a picture.
This is the one I have

It is the large metal ring just under the bottom of the setting knob. Did you check that the lock shield valve at the other end is fully open?0

Got the trv head off easilt enough, thanks. Pressed the wee valve down and up a bit. Not stuck. Head back on. Flow is open on the other end.
