UK CPS Parking Fine

Options
Hi Everyone,

Before I start I have read the sticky! :)

I have just been fined by UK CPS on the 23/10/16. I know the advice is to ignore them and I have just read that they can't request the Owners details now from the DBLA... but... I have a few unique issues.

I am from Edinburgh, Scotland but was in York England when I got the fine. (I know it says Scotland Ignore & England/Wales Don't Ignore.

It is a Company car. (I am the only real driver though)

The sign said private property and you couldn't park in the bays without a permit. I was parked in the street! Nobody owns the road!

What do I do?

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

they have been banned from access to the DVLA database , IE , they cannot (legally) get your details if you live in wales Scotland or timbucktoo, do NOT contact them , if you receive ANY correspondence (or the company does) please return

You have not been fined, its an invoice begging for money

Right now you are in a great position as said UKCPS are currently on a ban getting information from DVLA.
That means they cannot get registered keeper info.

So if you do get any correspondence from them, that would be illegal.

Then you are protected in Scotland as they need to know the driver.

If UKCPS did obtain your info illegally and issued court papers, you would request any such case will be heard in your local court.

UKCPS simply will not proceed in Scotland

And if they do make contact, then it's straight to the DVLA

JUST IGNORE and all further letters from them or their so called
vermin debt collectors should be retained but never contact them
  • Was this a windscreen ticket? It sounds it from your OP. If that is the case, then do as Pappa Golf suggests and refrain from any and all contact. They have to get a Notice to Keeper to you within 56 days of the parking event, and as they are currently barred from DVLAs Keeper database, they won't be able to get it unless you tell it to them.

Keep schtum, and if you somehow, magically, end up with an NtK through the post before Christmas, come back to this thread and someone will help you construct the appropriate snarky letters asking UKCPS just how they've illegally obtained your details, given their suspension from the IPC (an ATA)...
