Parking ticket question urgent please

Hi,

A car was parked in a private carpark today and a 2 hr ticket was purchased and placed it in the windscreen but when the door closed the ticket blew over and was face down.

When The driver returned a £100 parking charge notice was on the drivers side window.

Do parking tickets from car park machines have a unique reference on them? Both sides of the ticket show 096086.... Is that unique? Could you challenge the notice on that basis?

My issue is lots of people seem to being fined for the same reason.... bring back the sticky tickets or print them both sides.

I feel really strongly about this so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks,

Phill

I can tell that you haven't read the NEWBIES thread yet even though you were advised to do so. You were also advised not to reveal who was driving, yet you have first person singuar all over your post.
You would also have read there that it is not a fine.

Slow down, start reading, then send the relevant template letter from the NEWBIES.

That is your starting point. You will find out there that it is not a fine, and learn how to beat it without paying anything. Nobody will tell you to do that.

What is the name of the parking company please?

The company is registered so can obtain my details.

    You are grossly overthinking this!

Please do as already asked and go-read the Newbies Sticky at the top of this forum.

Read it carefully because it outlines your real situation and the range of pratical/viable options for seeing them off.

As can 99% of them - so what? None of us pay these scumpanies. Several of them have had my data at various points. Big deal.

Read the NEWBIES FAQS thread. I am not going to re-write it for each individual person and nor will anyone else, we have no time and the advice is generic because the companies are either ex-clampers, fat cats or useless con merchants with no ability to read an appeal.

Nope you can't because they will say no. You appeal using either the IPC version or BPA version of template appeal in the NEWBIES thread which is why we are sending you back there.

My bet is this was in the South West with 'AS parking' or Armtrac...or maybe PPS. Am I right?!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

OK, I see you have sensibly edited your original post, but still haven't grasped that this is not a fine.

We really need to know the name of the parking company if you want us to help you further.
The important thing right now is not to panic and appeal too early. Worse still, you must not reveal the driver's identity.
