Car Scratched in Works Car Park - can I claim

Returned to my car recently to find some Bar-steward had scratched/keyed my car across 2 doors

my car (only 7 weeks old at the time) was parked on my works (local authority) car park, for which a pay a monthly fee to park

there are no signs, like the usual ones about owns responsibility for damage whilst parked, also should add its an open car park where as others near by are locked and fenced off

the scratch is so obvious I am 100% sure it happened during the day it was parked there

anyone offer any advice on where I stand ref claiming from my employers insurance ??
I have lodged a claim, but as you would expect they have tuned it down saying no deal

Thanks

We specialise in unfair private parking tickets here, but unless you can prove your employer was negligent then I doubt you can blame them.
I married my cousin. I had to...

unsure why you came here, we don't deal with scratches, just parking (which has nothing to do with scratches)

I fear you are urinating in a strong gale with this one, unless you have proof it was another employee that did it how can you involve the employer?

Does the car park have CCTV monitoring? If so it will be worth approaching the site security office to see if anything picked up.
