Sainsbury's WhatsApp scam - have I been hacked?

I was advised on this thread to post here

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5546955

Do I need to change all my passwords & logins?
If it has some sort of tracker won't it know when I change them?
I have an iPhone 6 - someone once told me Apple couldn't have viruses, that may be complete rubbish, but I'm not very tecky & I don't know about these things.

Can anyone advise?

Its just a SPAM message, just delete it. DON'T forward it

Gullible people are forwarding this spam to all their friends/contacts

Nothing to do with your phone or viruses

But I filled in my details, my email address & forwarded it.

Normally I never would - it came from my boss (supposedly....) & she's really clued up on things - but it seems it may not have come from her at all.

Ok, now they have your name and email address amongst millions. Expect more Spam. As long as you didn't give ur bank/credit card details..........no worries.

This 'Whats App Spam/scam' is very common, catching out people looking something for nothing.

You have not been hacked and you have no virus on your phone.

Delete the message, DONT FORWARD IT TO ANYONE ELSE ;)

    And forget about it :)

If you just receive a spam message you have not been hacked, if you got it from your boss and they did not send it then you or they could have a problem, usually them.

There are apps that are useful, but they access your contact list, you or your boss could have installed such an App. these apps gather mail lists of millions of people because their game is to catch the 0.01% of people dumb enough to follow the action, click on the link etc.

So check with your boss, did they message you, if not then suggest you both check what apps you have installed and prune them down.

Whatapp does occasionally get spam but usually from China advertising some sake sunglasses site, they just randomly add mobile numbers and get closed down quite quickly/
Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !
