Totally confused by travel insurance. Please help.

Hello

For the first time in 14 years, we are going abroad on holiday in April 2017, to India. I have been trying to organise travel insurance but am confused as to what we need.
Firstly, we are a family of 4 with asthma and anxiety as pre existing medical conditions.
Secondly, would we be better off with an annual policy ir single trip policy? This trip is the only one we have planned anywhere.
Thirdly, my mother in law is going too and she has paid for the trip. Does this affect what policy we need? She is getting her own policy due to age, pre existing medical conditions including cancer.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Secondly, would we be better off with an annual policy ir single trip policy? This trip is the only one we have planned anywhere. Go on to a travel insurance website and price both options up for an answer to that question, but single will probably be cheaper

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks You're welcome

If your MIL decided not to go or couldn't go on this trip, would the other 3 people still want to go on this trip to India?

  • If she didn't go, then probably the reason she couldn't go would be ill health meaning we would probably not go either.

You need to be insured for that situation then.
