CREDIT REPORT ERRORS..please help

Hello
I have a credit report through creditreport.co.uk who I have used for years and my scoring is very good, last updated 7/09/16. However, still unable to obtain a loan. I have just checked my credit report on Noddle and my score is showing POOR . I have not missed a payment in 6 years, I have no CCJ’s in past 6 years, no defaults in past 6 years, I am on the electoral roll…so really unsure why this is. Can anyone help???
Thanks in advance

Your credit score is completely meaningless - it's a made-up number seen by only you and the CRA.

What's important is to check that all the information on your credit history is factually correct - that is what any lender will base their decisions on.
  • OP - you mention errors on your credit reports. What type of errors?

You'll need to raise a dispute with the CRA or the lenders.

I understand that, but it looks ok to me, yet I am unable to obtain a loan/credit card.
My concern is…about a year ago I was receiving letters from Co-op funeralcare and British Gas…for a location 100 miles away that I’d never been to, let alone lived in. I checked my eport and there was 31 deafulted accounts showing , for someone with same name but a totally different address. This caused me so much stress, but finally got it sorted by callcredit and my credit report got updated, all fine.
My credit report still looks good…however when I tried to apply for credit…computer said no, so to speak. Which is why I checked my report thrugh a different website (noddle) who get their info from callcredit (like all the others)…and my credit report shows poor. I understand its what is on the credit report, but unsure why the cedit reports were so different. I’m wondering if the fraud is still lying around somewhere.
Any advice will be much appreciated
    Thanks

Errors, as in the score is ridiculously low, when i have a clean credit history.
    Thanks
  • If the errors aren't on any of the three files, then there are no errors on your files. The only other place to look is CIFAS.

Not all lenders report to all three CRAs, which is why they will hold different information.

That's not an error. That's just a random number that has no meaning.

I bet if you paid for and signed up for the "improve" service your score would go up.

I cant think why they would give you a low score....

Ok, but why show poor? Im baffled. Do you think i need to pay to check it out properly?
Just cannot see why i wouldnt be accepted for credit
    Thanks
  • No. You ignore it. It could fall to zero or go to 999. It doesn't matter.

What do your credit files actually say? No numbers, just the data. Have you checked all three?

Who are the 3 to check?
