Energy consumption
I have just been on MSE comparison for dual fuel. My Electric consumption is projected @ 7591 KWH for the year, which seems ok. However, my gas is projected @ 76000 KWH for the year, based on previous consumption. Most comparison sites say 12500 KWH is the average for a 4 bedroom detached house similar to mine. I am trying to find out who is best to advise me what might be the cause of this excessive use given that we are out at work/school etc during the day so no excessive usage outside of a normal 4 person family. Can anyone please offer some guidance as to possible causes please. My boiler is 3 years old and just been fully serviced.
Thanks
Peter

Forget projections and read your meter. How much have you actually used in the past year ? Is your gas meter metric or imperial, are you being billed for the correct type of meter, is the meter serial number the same as the bill ? 76000 kWh for a domestic property is almost impossible. Your electric use is not "ok", it is double the average !0
