...I would have got damper than a Squib and blown about more than Orinoco holding a City gents umbrella :D (Wombles Series 1 Episode 1 :D goggle it, y'all know you want to :D)

Wombles - we don't have them across the pond...

    Ok - googled...
    (much to OH's amusement:rotfl:)
...casted from phone to tv (that's a thing now you know!;))

...conclusion is that they are very cute! - a little like an anteater or aardvark...

...and OH says he made himself one once by sewing together some fake fur:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Good evening lovely GP and Pilgrimers baseball-cap-smiley.gif?1292867552

I think we're all a bit Wombleish* on this thread.

Apart from the living in burrows bit. Unless some of you do live in burrows

    Good Morning :hello:

:D loving the chat here. rtandon - I missed you off the 'interested in a pic of a bowl of cheese gratings' list - sorry! i forget how odd and quaint British broadcasting must seem to people not used to it. It really was a golden era for stop-start animation though :D

Did your OH make his womble for a cub scout badge or something?

*looks for a suitable burrow on r1ghtm0ve for the Pilgrimers...........* :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Pizza for tea. It is slated as a black olive one - and I actually have black olives in stock :j - Go Me! :rotfl: I will need to make some more tomato topping though, so a job for later.

I have got some of my meal plan sorted. Anyone know if the cold weather is set to last? I've not picked a soup yet and will pick a 'stand yer spoon up in it' style one if it's going to continue to be cold. Edit: Just checked the weather for the start of next week - which is by no means accurate, usually. But it is showing coldish and damp for us, potentially. 'Stand yer spoon up' type soup recipes being checked out on the ending of this sentence...........

I'll need to pop up the high street later - for exercise, a breath of very fresh air and to pick up one or two things on the meal plan list for the weekend.

Right BG is getting bored so i'd best go.

Thanks for popping in. Appreciated. Greatly.

Made me smile, my late FIL was known as the Womble. He filled his own house and has started to overflow onto us. OH is just as bad for it.

Have a lovely stroll GP - the sun is shining even though it is rather cold.

    on the subject of cheese........

Lidl this morning had '#Lidl surprises Christmas' brochure, white with a picture of a turkey on the front. It says 40% off vouchers inside so I picked one up. 40% off Valley Spire Mature Cheddar 830g voucher, valid between 17/11 and 18/12. The others are Christmas related chocolate, spiced biscuits, panettone so limited interest for me but I'll be picking up a new copy and cheese on each visit if they have stock. Grated and frozen obviously to keep it safe from teenage fridge cruisers! I was planning on using the rest of my heron foods cheese to make a cheese, onion and potato slice tomorrow so this should work out well.

  • I could hardly believe it in the Charity shop this morning - waiting to pay for the book I'd picked up (50p - bargain!) when the chap in front of me said to the lady on the till "how much for the Womble?" and lo and behold, she produced a soft-toy Orinoco from the display cabinet! :rotfl:

Greying my weather app suggests that "over here" at least, it's set to continue chilly-ish, particularly overnight, but rather wet and windy, on sunday in particular.

What sort of tomato base do you do for Pizza, can I ask? Generally speaking I use a slosh of tomato ketchup and a squirt of puree, well mixed together, and with a spot of salt and pepper added. The sweetness of the ketchup seems to offset that slight bitterness you can find with puree.

    Pah to councils.
The pavement at my mums was in very bad repair.
I complained & complained & highlighted how dangerous it was for a disabled person blah blah.
Finally 'mended' & I joke not it is now a thousand times worse than before.
    Words fail me TBH.
