HELP/QUESTION Applying for mortgages

Is it possible to have your spouse income as additional income for yourself to obtain a mortgage? As either rental income or just additional income you are receiving? I am in a strange predicamant with my wife, where she has zero gaps in employment history, but for the last 9 months she has been contracting with Deloitte, which is causing issues but she gets paid a lot and I am struggling to find anyone that will even look at it with her on the app, even with zero gaps in employment history.

Have you tried using a mortgage broker? Your situation isn't that unusual, but it's a little out of the ordinary - and that's the kind of place where a decent broker can shine.
A good place to get recommendations for a broker is likely to be your wife's colleagues; some of them will have been in your shoes.0 -

It's for me to sort out, she currently lives in London and I'm just outside so I won't have the chance to ask them myself and she wouldn't, she believed men should do everything lol. Has anyone ever used habito?0 -
Can any friends/colleagues recommend a good broker?
You may have more luck posting this on the mortgage board - same section of the forum but its called mortgages/endowments.
There are some very knowledgeable brokers on there that may be able to point you in the right direction.
