Paying for apartment in dollars

I'm looking at a holiday rental in Mexico next year through tripadvisor but the owner wants to be paid by credit card in US dollars or through paypal. What would be the best and/or cheapest option? I have a paypal account and a Barclays visa/ american express credit card and also a Santander zero credit card.
I'm getting confused trying to work it out. Thanks in advance for any help.
