I needed a fairly niche and expensive motor product this year, a few brokers quoted me with Enterprise and could not understand why I would not accept their cheap quote on the basis I never deal with Insurers based in Gibralter.
I paid a little extra and took cover out with a UK based Insurer.0 -
Looks like Gable is in trouble as well. Another non U.K. (Lichtenstein) insurer transacting business at the bottom end of the market.0

I was warned about Gable around ten years ago, I sourced a quote from them for a demolition company that just about beat the quote my client sourced from another broker.
My normal wholesale broker warned me that Gable were financially unstable and also the owner William Dewsall aka Billy is very well known in the industry but not for good things... (That's all I will say on him)0 -
Thank goodness I am unwilling to do business with the AA under any circumstances.
I trust HMRC will be selling 100% of the owners' property and investments to recoup some of the losses.
What's that? They're legally entitled to swindle the taxpayer and enjoy their ill-gotten gains? OK, that sounds fair.0 -

.
Bit harsh on AA
Unlike some brokers involved in this, AA have arranged alternative cover for all their affected clients so that they have continuous cover and don't need to do anything themselves0
