Salary payment on a Monday

All,

I'm sure, similar to many of you, this months salary (final working day of the month) falls on a Monday. Generally, if my salary is due on a weekend, it arrives on the Friday night.

Is anyone aware if the salary will arrive on the Sunday night / Monday morning or if it will arrive earlier over the weekend?

FYI, I am with Lloyds Bank.

Cheers!

You only have a few days to wait before you can check for yourself and be 100% certain rather than relying on what you're told on a forum.

If it's due on a Monday it will pay on Monday if it's a working day. If your pay is due on a Weds, do you get it on a Tuesday?
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I appreciate your response; and yes, I generally will receive them late the night before.

If your salary is due on the last working day of the month then it is never due on a Saturday.

When the date falls on a weekend you will be paid on the Friday as that is the last working day - if it arrives Friday night you either check it then and assume payment is made at that point or your work process a faster payment on the last working day rather than paying by bacs.

As your salary is due Monday your work may only pay it that day so funds won't be available but if they proces as bacs your bank may choose to make those funds available to you early

Don't live to your wage / salary as this indicates financial distress

If your company processed the bank payments to leave their business account on Friday, you will then receive your salary on Monday (or even Saturday if lucky)

I get paid last working day of the month, which this month is Monday the 31st.

I know my salary will be showing in my account Saturday morning, as will the DD's & SO's due to come out on the 31st.

Final working day of the month is Monday then it should by rights be Monday when you get paid, It does have some other factors here though and some firms will pay by bacs and others by chaps so this will also be taken into account as well as public holidays added into the mix.

We were with Lloyds before we transferred to TSB - but both seem to work the same way. If payment is due on a Monday, then it appears early Monday morning.
