Halifax Reward to BoS Vantage

Now that Halifax has decided to cut the reward from £5 to £3 in Feb 17 would there be any problem going through the switch process to Vantage. Also is the max 5% on £5k limited to a year. Are there any incentives at the moment to switch to Vantage?

I notice that when the subject of DD comes up in these circumstances, Tesco is invariably mentioned as the vehicle...
I use Tesco for dd 'A' & Yorkie Building Society has the facility, too; so I use them for dd 'B' if that helps anyone that may already have their account... as they were paying a decent (?) 1.74% up until the recent cuts.
