Status Quo 2016 Tour Ticket Refunds

I bought Status Quo tickets by credit card back in May and since then Rick Parfitt has unfortunately had to drop out of the tour due to health reasons. There have been a couple of news articles stating Quo will refund the cost of the tickets if they were bought before Rick became ill however when I approached the ticket agency where I bought the tickets they replied as follows:
"While we endeavour to provide the best service, we’re unfortunately unable to comply with your request. This is because we purchased your tickets from the promoter under binding conditions immediately after your order was received. Therefore cancellations are not possible because they’re not accepted by the promoter"
I can find no other information about Quo refunding the ticket cost so has anyone tried to get a refund and if so was it successful or can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I start the process of getting a refund. The official Quo site does not help at all!
Thanks

I'm having the same trouble. It's nice of Quo to offer refunds, but they haven's said how that is to be done. Ticketmaster will not refund us, so what is the solution, please?0

I also bought tickets in March from Eventim to see Status Quo. I don't really want to see them without Rick playing. I've rung Eventim who are refusing to consider a refund. I've told them Status Quo have agreed to refunds but Eventim say its the first they've heard of this. So it's all well and good for the band to offer refunds as a "goodwill gesure," but it means nothing if they don't tell the promoters. I'm really annoyed as this seems like an empty gesture.
Has anyone managed to get a refund?0
