Harveys Furniture - delivery or lack of!

This is emphatically not a 'praise' post!!

In your experience - how long is a reasonable time to wait for a delivery - e.g. sofa & chairs?

My first suite, I had just moved into to a house, went to a furniture store - saw the one I liked, had it delivered days later. The second one about a decade ago, went to a discount furniture warehouse, saw one I liked, and it was delivered several days later.

Went to Harveys before the Bank Holiday - ordered the suite I liked, told two or three weeks to get a delivery date.
No way, took eight weeks, with a delivery date almost three weeks later!
But that's not all, been informed my order won't be completely delivered - only part of it - they can't find the other part!

I don't know if they are just incompetent, or their systems are so incomplete - that it just looks that way.

Once there was MFI - now there is Harveys!

So, be warned - order at your peril.

Anyone else with 'Harveys' experience?

mine was 16 weeks from Harveys, but it did say that when i ordered on the website

Harveys stuff is made to order in China, they are at the mercy of the production runs at the factory and when a boat is coming over with containers with your stuff on. That is why they are pretty vague.

That said, I have been very pleased with my sofas from Harveys. Mind you the first set they delivered were the wrong colour, men were not impressed when I told them to put them back on the van. Then took weeks all over again to get the right ones. Moral of story, check what you get very carefully on arrival!
