Hi I have splashed my new Blackout curtains with silk emulsion paint and only just noticed so it has dried.
Is there anyway I can get the paint off without having to get them dry cleaned
Thanks

I very much doubt dry cleaning will remove dried in paint. Good luck"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

You could try some of the ideas here :

But if the paint has dried it's always going to be difficult to get it completely out. How much would it cost to replace the curtains ? Or is the stain on an edge somewhere, where it might be possible to conceal it with a strategic fold / extra bit of hem ?0 -

I'll have to buy two sets to replace as they are matching with some others in the same room. Balls!
Hope you are in a better position than me GT60, good luck!0 -
Well don't give up all hope - try scraping off as much as possible then trying some of the tips in that link. You may get lucky. Of course, if you start using any harsh chemicals then you run the risk of discolouring the fabric anyway, but if the alternative is to buy new ones then it's worth a shot.0

Scrape the paint with a clean new blade. Any remaining paint, try dabbing with baby wipes...they're good for that sort of thing or a cloth soaked and wrung out with diluted vinegar.
Then...if they were my curtains...I'd ignore the dry clean only label and put them on a cool wash.
I get paint on everything!0 -
Awesome

Thanks! I did have a very quick go with a new scalpel blade, but I think I'll try a little harder at it now. We have plenty of wet wipes so I'll give those a go too.
after you have tried all the tips on here, then get a indelable pen & recolour over the existing paint with a black pen.
and as its faceing away from you , that should do the trick for you .0
