PPI questions - Little Chef employee benefits??

edited 25 October 2016 at 6:10PM in Reclaim PPI & other insurance
So I finally go around to sending off some letters. I haven't so far because I was pretty sure that I had never ticked any PPI boxes. But with so many people I know getting payouts I figured I may as well have a go.
They gave me lots of forms to complete, so guess they are suggesting a may have had PPI?

...And to my surprise, I did have PPI on a credit card in 2002!

Any there were a couple of questions they asked which I am not sure of, maybe someone here can help?

What were my sickness/redundancy terms from LITTLE CHEF in 2002?
Did anyone work for LITTLE CHEF, BURGER KING, TRAVELODGE or anyone else in the COMPASS GROUP around 2002 that may be able to help?

Thanks!

When you took out the card were you working full time?

How long had you worked there for when you took out the card?

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Yes full time and had been working there just over 2 years.

That just indicates that the PPI was suitable for you, I'm afraid.

Redundancy terms are basically irrelevant as no redundancy payments were or are guaranteed, so no use quoting them in a PPI complaint.

Sickness terms would only be useful if they provided for example a generous six months full pay and six months half.
This is unlikely after only two years employment especially when working in the service sector.

As per above - working full time and out of probation = not miss-sold
Just over 2 years - limited redundancy (2 weeks) if the company was solvent = not sufficient to pay your debts, so PPI would be useful

It's highly unlikely Little Chef paid anything other than the normal sick leave (1-2 weeks) then put you on SSP which is a pittance
