Gas cooker service?

How often do people get their gas cookers serviced (if at all)? We have an ancient Rangemaster cooker that isn't used very often. A new flame safety device was fitted about 10 years ago but, since then, we haven't had it looked at. We have mentioned having it serviced to various gas engineers who've been round for other reasons, but none seemed to think it was necessary/wanted to service it.

The service would include checking the correct operation of any safety devices that are fitted, flame picture, gas rate, condition etc
If you've any concerns about its operation then get it checked0 -
No concerns as such, just wondering if I should get it checked over - just in case ...Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0
