Paypal account limitation

I've had my paypal account for around 10 years but in april of this year it has been limited and I can no longer use it.
The reason paypal gave was there were a couple of reserved transactions after we had ordered take away food which gave food poisoning and they refused to give us our money back.
I explained this to paypal but they weren't interested and said it was tough and hung up on me!!!
Is there a way to get my account restored?

Can you still access your account?
If so, log in and go to the resolution centre (or center) and see if there are any cases still open.
If there are then it may be possible for you to opt to close these although if this can be done, you won't get a refund for the food.
Once Paypal have made the decision to limit or close an account if they think that there have been too many reversed transactions then it's normally next to impossible to get them to change their mind.0 -
No chance, Paypal heve restricted your account because your a problem buyer. By reversing transactions you have commited the ultimate sin with them, they won't let you do it again.
Paypal is an easy target, you have done it too many times and they see the pattern. Oh this is easy just open a dispute and we will get our money back it's easy, well your free ride is over.0 -
You probably didn't get food poisoning from the takeaways. A dicky tummy from rich food? Maybe. Do you have medical documentation of food poisoning and proof it came from that takeaway.
Doubtful. Especially to happen 'a couple of times'
Instead of avoiding the takeaway in future you decided to try get some free meals out of it. PayPal won't let you do that.0 -
I hate paypal reverse payers, these kind of people never try to resolve issues with communication, they go straight for the big bat so they can get a freebie.
I am sorry but you deserve your ban.0 -
Did you report the food poisoning to the relevant authorities? Did you have the food tested to confirm that it was the takeaway that was responsible? Or did you go straight to Paypal to get your payment reversed?
In any case Paypal are huge and have no reason to look favourably on a case like this. The facts are that you look like a problem buyer (more than one case of takeaway food poisoning looks more than a bit unlucky) and they don't need your custom.0 -
It's also a lot more than 2 cases, the last were just the straw that broke the camels back.0

How did you reverse them? With a bank chargeback?0
