Barclaycard Freedom Rewards - UK Supermarkets

Does anyone know which supermarkets and petrol stations give double points with this card? I mainly shop at Lidl, so it's probably not worth it for me if the double points only apply to the traditional supermarkets. I've hunted on the Barclaycard website and read the T&Cs but can't find anything more specific than 'UK Supermarkets' anywhere! I'm probably missing something really obvious, but would be grateful if anyone can help me

One thing I noticed with Lloyds Bank's Money Manager, and also recently my Barclaycard Freedom Rewards, is that all of your spending it separated into categories, so you could shop at any supermarket and it should filter it into 'Groceries' or something like that.
Sometimes the categories can be wrong though, like I've just been checking my statement whilst writing this, and I've made the odd transaction at Greggs where it's classed it as groceries. Nice to know I'll have earned double points there though Even the grocery shop at university is categorised as 'Family' so do watch out for that, but I think shopping at Lidl will earn you double points, and if not, you'll still earn some and you'll earn points everywhere else too0 -
That's really helpful; thanks. I'm trying to decide between the co-op credit card which gives 1p per £3.33 or the Barclaycard. The Barclaycard works out better for me, but only if my Lidl shopping is worth double points! Sounds like it's fairly general though - my worry was that it would just count for Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons & Asda.0

I think any supermarket within the UK will be fine. If in doubt, contact Barclaycard.0

It will be defined as the merchant code that the retailer uses.
When they register to accept cards they categorise their business type.0 -

No worries! I don't have any experience with the CoOp credit card so I can't comment, but I'm finding the Barclaycard a good card, the only thing that bothered me was when I called them the other week and was put through to an Indian call centre. I phoned them about problems adding my debit card to pay my bill early, and so the guy there put me through to the debt management department..
Although I found out from a thread I posted on here that you can contact their social media team and they'll call you and deal with your problems0
