Webcam Problem

I brought a webcam for my parents 2 days ago for their computer and it works online (webcam games online) but not on msn. I've tried unistalling a previous one i had on there and reinstalling this one but still it doesn't work on msn. I've tried a friend and it doesn't work but my one on my laptop still works so it's not the internet. The webcam is Creative live video im (not pro).

Any ideas?

Try updating MSN. There has been a security scare in the web cam part of its software. Read: -

thanks for the reply but i updated their computer on Sunday because it came up with an update for messenger is avaliable and it's now 8.1. Thanks for trying.

Any other ideas?

I've now tried yahoo and it doesn't work either. I can use it on internet games but nothing else.

try downloading the latest driver software from here

Have you tried updating to Live Messenger. My webcam wouldn't work with MSN Messenger but does with LM.
