  • I think my least used is the Panini press I got from Aldi a good few years back. It's languishing somewhere in the cupboard under the stairs gathering dust. I wouldn't care but I quite enjoy a nice panini but never seem to get round to doing them these days!

Used once a year is the enormous food steamer I got years ago. And that's when DD borrows it for the Xmas Day lunch veg!! I don't know why I don't let her keep it!!

I think my most used is the stick blender I got from Big W. No idea how old it is but it must be 9 years or more since they shut down. I think it was about a fiver.

  • I bought a spiralizer in the summer, but have only used it once.:o

I tend to use the same things all the time, big pot, small pot, wooden spoon, toaster and kettle. Stick blender for soup and that's about it.:p

Our most used item is a panini press. We use it daily for either toasted sandwiches, muffins, crumpets, paninis, anything bread based really. Used to have a sandwich toaster and I hated cleaning it and it made such a mess. This year for my birthday I had the panini press and i love it. To clean it just needs a wipe and as it's flat it's easy. Also I don't need to butter the outside of the sandwich.
Have lots of other gadgets - think my least used item is a blow torch which I have used once!

  • I have used a hairdryer for softening butter and a piece of sink pipe for rolling pastry.

The hairdryer is a genius idea- I don't have a microwave so soft butter for cakes is a problem in winter.

I've also used a full roll of cling film for pastry in lieu of a rolling pin.

I used an acrylic gel nail kit to fix my chipped granite worktop does that count?

I use my pressure cooker all the time. Never did get on with a slow cooker, the meat tasted rank in a very odd way - whatever meat it was
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Oh and unusual uses for stuff - I use the greaseproof circles they sell for covering jam to line my little individual steamed pudding pots

I bought an air fryer recently. I bought it online...it's massive! It's also surprisingly excellent. I have a tendency to fall asleep and forget I have the oven on.The lovely air fryer has a timer and cuts out when the baking is done! I use it a lot and love it....until I get fed up with it!

I also have a JML multi chef. Millions of accessories....I'm not exaggerating. It was a present over 20 years ago. It's still in the box. I just keep thinking of the washing up involved and it scares me!

Oh and I bought lots of silicone spatulas. Hateful. Gone back to the metal ones. The silicone ones are now ornaments!
