Can someone advise !e how to get rid of a !!!!!! page that opens automatically on my nexus, it just suddenly started a couple of days ago.:mad:

Tracking this stuff down can be complex - did you recently install any new apps from anywhere but play store? Did they have at least 10000 downloads and 3* ratings? Often a good place to start.
Best solution is a factory restore, it'll take an hour or so, and guarantee to solve the problem. You'll need to reinstall your apps, but that's no bad thing as you'll have a load you didn't use a lot anyway. You won't have to pay again for any you previously paid for.0 -

On an obviously completely unrelated note, can someone tell me how to delete my browser history, preferably before the wife gets home. :-)0

Daughter installed some app that pretended to be the Police and to lock her phone. But for a fee they would let it go and not send her to prison.
It somehow changed her theme and the lock screen, nothing more. Switched to safe mode to remove all apps and did a reset just in case because she was not sure which app caused it.
I think it was something that had been sitting and waiting to popup, biding its time so not obvious which app it was.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

MY wife got something similar after clicking on a link on the Daily Fail a few months back. Try going into Settings > Apps > Chrome (or whatever browser you use) and Clear Cache. Worked for hers.
If that isn't right it's because i've not got my phone here and going from memory.0
